Dietary Guidelines for Relieving Symptoms of Reflux

There are many foods known to trigger symptoms of reflux and you may find it helpful to note down any particular food or drink that seems to make your reflux worse, and then avoid them where possible.

NHS dietary guidelines list the following food and drink as potential triggers of reflux: 

-  Chocolate
-  Rich, fatty foods
-  Spicy foods
-  Fruit juice
-  Caffeine rich drinks eg tea, coffee
-  Fizzy drinks
-  Alcohol
