The LINX™ Reflux Management System is a new technology pioneered by Torax Medical for patients suffering from Gastro-oesophageal Reflux Disease (GORD). Torax Medical, a US medical device company was founded in 2002 to develop a surgical treatment for GORD sufferers. The LINX™ System was the result of extensive research and development.
It gained a CE mark in Europe in 2008 and FDA approval in the US in 2012. It has been the subject of rigorous clinical trials, the results of which are outlined here:
